After a year working on stunning video games like Werewolf the Apocalypse, I’ve started thinking about my graduation project. That was very fun stuff, and you can always take lessons from old work. And that’s also funny to work again with the same guys you were working with back those days.
After a recent talk about optimization with a tech artist, I realised that I’ve never detail my habits about this important subject. I’m not gonna share all the LOD’s and modelisation stuff with you, but something a bit more complicated, to optimize your final scene.
As lots of people, i’ve descovered the photogrammetry workflow, thanks to streams and posts of Epic games. So, i discover an heavy process and very expensive. In fact, it’s not always true. You can even try it at home. That’s what i’ve done, and that’s what i’m gonna share with you.
